Discharge from the ICCO Clinic of Cardiology

After undergoing the surgical intervention, depending on the evolution of your health condition, the ward physician will notify you regarding your discharge one day in advance in order for you to have time to contact the members of your family. Patient discharges take place between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. You can leave the hospital by yourself or in the company of your next of kin.

Before getting discharged, an orderly will come to your room to bring your clothes and will accompany you to the reception, where the members of your family can wait for you.

Upon discharge you will receive a medical letter containing details about your diagnosis, the medical procedures that you have undergone, the medical assessment, the hospitalisation period, the recommended treatment and the recovery plan. This information is intended for both you and your medical consultant/family physician for on-going treatment.

On the day of the discharge you also have to pay for the hospital services that you have benefited from. Payment can be made by you or one of the members of your family, based on the invoice that you will receive from the hospital's Accounting Department.
